Note from the Doctor

We are so excited to begin this robotics season!  It seems like we never have enough time to do everything we want to do.

This year’s beginning is highlighted by the top-notch recommendations provided by the University of Texas at Arlington’s, Marketing Department and Professor Larry Chonko’s Marketing 4322 – Marketing Strategy class.  Their plan  has led to many changes and plans to be implemented to better prepare our team members for leadership and better serve our community at large, especially our investors.  I can’t wait for it to all take shape.

We are building a demonstration robot, affectionately known as the demobot (clever!)  This exercise is a great opportunity for our young team to see what it’s like to design, build, program, and test a robot in a short time frame.

Our FTC team is hard at work too.  This year The Association of Private and Parochial Schools, TAPPS, is following the lead of UIL and adding Robotics to their list of competitions.  On October 21st, we will take our FTC robot to Waco for the first ever TAPPS robotics competition.

We are planning to attend the Robot Remix on October 22nd (which also happens to be our school’s homecoming weekend!)

Whew!  Let’s get to work!
