This past summer we had a very successful junior robotics camp. Students from the Robo Vikes volunteered to help the junior kids. This years game was to have the robot scan a color and follow that color line to the end and then release a ball to knock down pins.
The kids worked in groups to complete this task using Lego Mindstorms. They worked for a week constructing and perfecting the program to run the robot. Each team had a unique design for their shooter to release a golf ball and knock down the pins at the end. By the time the week was over most teams were ready for the competition to begin.
Teams spent the whole last day competing to earn the most points. The students had lots of fun and I hope to see some of them again next year!
