Mark Zimmer is this month’s alumnus of the month! During his two years on the team, he worked heavily in both the branches of business and robot fabrication, assisting with finances his junior year and fabrication and assembly his senior year. He was a member of leadership and says his favorite moments were working the late nights in the shop at the end of build season. He attended multiple competitions for the Robo Vikes, including the Robo Reboot and Robo Remix in 2015 and the Alamo Regional and Idaho Regional in Boise, Idaho in 2016. He is currently studying biochemistry at Baylor University and says Robo Vikes helped him develop “a passion for machining and an intrigue in science and technology.” His current hobbies include building and sailing. When asked what he would tell someone who was thinking about joining Robo Vikes, he said he would tell them that they should have joined earlier.
